Spotty loves her bunny babies

Jack Russells are usually more at home chasing rabbits down their burrows.
But when Spotty took a liking to these two rabbit kittens, it wasn't with an eye to a tasty feast -- it was her maternal instincts crying out.
Now it seems the young rabbits regard the lovable little country pooch as their very own dear mum.
Spotty, the mother of two three-month-old pups, took it upon herself to adopt the two bunnies, now named Lola-Bunny and Thumper.
In a strange show of cross-species brotherly love, her pups actually stand by and watch as mum feeds the kittens or lets them roll all over her.
Spotty's Jindera owners were amazed when the chance discovery of the two kittens this week led to the unusual animal adoption.
And as for whether the exotic family combination will remain close-knit, only time will tell.
